Layering of translucent fabrics lets me mix colors and play with saturation and opacity, similar to water color painting. It also reveals the structure as an intentional composition and sculptural element. On reflection, the truss forms, and textile material remind me of growing up with two engineers and a mother who took me to fabric stores with her. Its something of a family portrait to me now.
